From Google Maps business listings in Singapore, collected by us, and from the businesses' own websites (e-mails and social links). New businesses are added as they appear in the source, and those marked as closed are removed. Every page shows the date of its figures.
Name, sector, main category and other categories (for example, "Hawker stall — Chinese restaurant, Noodle shop"), chain, planning area, subzone, address, coordinates, phone numbers (with a mobile flag), website, e-mail, social links, opening hours flag and the date we first saw the business. One row per business, XLSX and CSV in UTF-8.
Every page shows the date of its figures. Your file is built from the database as it stands on the day of payment and contains the businesses listed as open in the source at that time.
Businesses and organisations with a Google Maps listing in Singapore that are listed as open in the source, in 16 sectors: Food & Drink, Retail & Shopping, Health & Medical, Beauty & Wellness, Sports & Fitness, Education & Childcare, Arts, Entertainment & Leisure, Community, Religious & Public Services, Professional & Business Services, Property, Construction & Home Improvement, Finance & Insurance, Hotels & Travel, Home & Personal Services, Automotive, Transport & Logistics, Industry, Manufacturing & Wholesale. A business belongs to the sector of its main category. Places that are not businesses — parks, playgrounds, car parks, bus stops and MRT stations, HDB blocks and condominiums, public toilets, EV chargers, ATMs, parcel lockers and vending machines — are not included.
300,320 open businesses in 3,542 categories, 55 planning areas and 321 subzones. 45,592 of them belong to 10,984 chains, the rest are independent. 27,102 businesses show no public address on Google Maps (they serve customers at their location): they are in the all-Singapore database, but not in any planning area.
A phone number is listed for 80% of businesses (103,736 with a mobile number), a website for 48%, social links for 26%, opening hours for 58%. E-mail addresses are collected from the businesses' websites: 19% of businesses, 60,995 unique addresses. Coverage of each planning area, sector and category is shown on its page.
Every location of a chain is labelled with it: 7-Eleven, PCF and AXS and thousands of smaller ones. Listings of one brand under different names (with the branch or mall name) are merged. A chain has at least two open locations.
By the coordinates of the business, inside the official boundaries of the 55 planning areas and their subzones of the URA Master Plan (Urban Redevelopment Authority, data.gov.sg). The planning areas are grouped into the five URA regions: Central, East, North, North-East and West.
By our observations of the source, not by actual opening dates. We started tracking on 12 October 2026: businesses found on that first pass are the starting point, a business we see for the first time later counts as an opening, a business that stops being listed as open counts as a closure. These figures show the trend we observe, not exact market statistics.
No. Businesses marked as closed in the source are removed, so the file contains the businesses listed as open on the day it is built. Openings and closures are in the "Openings & closures" section.

All of Singapore costs $410 USD (300,320 businesses). A single planning area costs $25 USD–$135 USD depending on the number of businesses in it. One sector for all of Singapore is cheaper — Food & Drink costs $135 USD, Finance & Insurance — $115 USD; a single category (hawker stalls, hair salons, preschools…) is priced the same way. All locations of one chain start at $25 USD. Prices are in US dollars (USD).
Yes. In the configurator, tick one or several sectors — the count and price update; this works for all of Singapore and for selected planning areas. You can also keep only chain or only independent businesses: all chain businesses cost $135 USD, all independent ones — $350 USD. A single category (for example, gyms or preschools) is bought for all of Singapore from its page — categories with 20 or more businesses are sold on their own, smaller ones come with their sector.
The price of a planning area depends on its number of businesses, while the whole database comes with a big discount: the 4 largest planning areas already cost more on their own. If the planning areas you select cost more than the whole of Singapore in the same selection, your order switches to all of Singapore at its price.
Yes. Subzones with a page of their own (from 20 businesses) are sold on their own: the price is the subzone's share of its planning area's price, by the number of businesses, from $10 USD. In the buy panel, the arrow next to a planning area opens its subzones: you can pick several, a sector or a category and only chains or independents. If the chosen subzones cost as much as the whole planning area or more, the planning area is sold at its price. Smaller subzones come with their planning area; the file has a subzone column.
Yes, a free 20-row CSV sample with every column is available on each page: all of Singapore, a sector, a category, a planning area, a subzone and a chain. Contact details in the sample are partially masked.
